    • Fixed a bug where, after moving from one snippet’s edit page to another without reloading (by changing the address, or with back/forward), saving wrote the first snippet over the second. The edit page now loads the snippet in the address, and saving always writes back to the snippet that was loaded

    • Restored the REST routes for creating and editing snippets (POST snippets, snippets/create, snippets/update), removed in 10.56 without notice. That removal was a breaking API change and should have been listed as one here
    • Adding and editing snippets through the REST API is now off by default. Turn it on in Settings, or set FLUENT_SNIPPETS_REST_AUTHORING in wp-config.php
    • The REST API switch can only be changed on the Settings screen, not with an Application Password, and FLUENT_SNIPPETS_REST_AUTHORING set to ‘false’ or ‘no’ now means off
    • snippets/update changes only the fields it is sent, so editing code no longer touches a snippet’s status
    • Added an optional expected_hash check to snippets/update: if the snippet changed since it was read, nothing is saved and the reply is a 409
    • snippets/find and every REST write now return a code_hash, and writes return the saved snippet
    • Fixed the line-wrap setting being reset whenever the snippet index was rebuilt
    • Improved translations: sentences are no longer split into pieces, every string with a placeholder carries a note for translators, and several confusing or ungrammatical strings were rewritten
    • Updated the admin screen’s libraries (Vue, Element Plus, CodeMirror)
