20265 releases

  1. WP Crontrol 2.0.0Latest

    • Cron event logging and Cron Insights, previously part of WP Crontrol Pro, are now free for everyone. Logging is off until you turn it on for an event.
    • WP Crontrol now has its own Cron menu in the admin, with Events, Logs, Insights, Alerts, AI, and Schedules in one place. Tools > Cron Events still works.
    • New: Cron Alerts. Get an email when a logged cron event fails, as it happens (at most once an hour for each event) or as a daily summary, with a test button to check that alerts arrive.
    • New: Cron AI. WP Crontrol registers its features with the WordPress Abilities API (WordPress 6.9 and later), so an AI assistant can list, run, and pause cron events, turn logging on, and read logs and insights, with your account’s permissions. Assistants can’t create or edit PHP or URL cron events.
    • Logs now show when an email sent by a logged event failed to send.
    • Dates and times in the event list can now be translated, including month names. Thanks to @zalemcitizen for the request.
    • Logs never store event arguments, and logged HTTP requests keep only the site address.
    • Logs are kept for 30 days, up to 10,000 entries per site. Deleting the plugin removes its log tables and settings.
    • Shows a note about WP Crontrol’s new home at the top of the Cron screens until you dismiss it, with plugins from the same team that aren’t active on your site.
    • Suggests Duplicator on the Cron Events screen when no backup plugin or scheduled backup is found, and WPCode under the PHP cron event code field. Each suggestion can be dismissed for good.
  2. WP Crontrol 1.22.0

    • WP Crontrol is now maintained by the team at Awesome Motive. Thank you to John Blackbourn for building and looking after WP Crontrol for so many years. It remains free, open source, and private by default.
    • Fixes Run Now reporting a failure when the event was scheduled successfully, for example when a plugin such as Cavalcade stores events outside the cron option. Props @abdulraheemalick.
    • Security: Hardens several permission and integrity checks for cron events.
    • Removes the sponsor link.
  3. WP Crontrol 1.21.2

    • Confirms full support for WordPress 7.1
    • Bumps the minimum supported version of WordPress to 6.6
  4. WP Crontrol 1.21.1

    • Fixes some bulk delete behaviour
    • Confirms full support for WordPress 7.0
  5. WP Crontrol 1.21.0

    • Adds support for invalid args in cron events by relaxing the strict typing and showing a warning on the listing and editing screens.
