Bit Form 3.5.0Latest
- Release Date: 5 November, 2026
- Heads up:
- Update Bit Form first: Bit Form Pro 3.4.0 keeps working with this release, but the new Form Abandonment features need Pro 3.5.0. Pro 3.5.0 needs Bit Form 3.5.0 and shows an update notice until then.
- Database update: New columns for the trash, stars, labels and logs are added the first time an administrator opens the dashboard. Existing data is unchanged.
- Deleted entries go to the Trash: They are permanently deleted after 30 days by default (change or disable this in App Settings → General) and count toward a form’s entry limit until then. Workflows set to run on delete now run at permanent deletion.
- Drafts and payments (Pro): Unfinished entries now show as “Partial”. Submitting a saved draft or completing a Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay or Mollie payment now runs on-create workflows instead of on-edit ones, so check forms that rely on an edit-only workflow. A submitted draft also shows the submit m…
- For developers: bitform_integration_api_response_error now also fires for failed emails and PDFs. The unused bitforms_duplicate_aform AJAX action and AdminFormHandler::duplicateAForm() are removed.
- New:
- MCP Server: Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to read and edit forms, entry statistics, notifications and workflows at the access level you choose. Sign-in uses OAuth, API keys or Application Passwords, and every call is logged.
- AI Assistant: A chat panel that answers questions about your forms and edits them. Changes appear in the builder and are saved only when you press Apply. It uses WordPress AI (WordPress 7.0+) or your own key for Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or any OpenAI-compatible service.
- Assistant Attachments and Live Replies: Attach images, PDFs, Word or text files, which are deleted after 24 hours, with location and camera details removed from photos. Replies and each step appear as they run.
- More AI Controls: The assistant and MCP apps can set default country and currency, accepted file types, field options, option columns and form colours (per-field colours with Pro), and can compare forms by entry count.
- All-Forms Entries: One screen lists entries from every form, with status counts, a per-form chart and filters. The Bit Form menu and admin bar show the unread count.
- Entry Page: An entry opens on its own page with answers, activity, Previous/Next, a Print view and “Hide empty fields”. Clicking a row still opens a quick side panel.
- Trash and Restore: A single delete can be undone, restoring brings the entry back unchanged, and permanent delete lives in the Trash. Forms with a workflow set to run on delete clear 500 trashed entries a day, so a backlog cannot send a burst of emails.
- Re-run Emails and Integrations: Re-send a failed email or integration, or run one added after the entry came in, from the entry’s Actions panel. It can be switched off in App Settings → General.
- Stars and Labels: Star entries or give each one a label from a set you manage in App Settings → Entry Labels. Both are filterable, and labels can be switched off.
- Activity Logs: Every entry shows what ran, which template or integration it used and why it failed. Known secrets such as passwords, tokens and API keys are masked in logged responses.
- Auto-Delete Old Entries: A per-form rule moves entries older than the days you choose (60 by default, 7 minimum) to the Trash. It is off until you turn it on and never moves drafts or entries awaiting double opt-in.
- Form Abandonment (Pro): Save & Resume links, Abandoned and Recovered statuses, up to three reminder emails, team alerts, resuming on the same step and per-entry actions. Old unfinished entries can be deleted automatically.
- Developer Hooks: Added bitform_entries_trashed, bitform_entries_restored and bitform_entries_purged, plus bitform_entry_abandoned and bitform_entry_recovered (Pro, also in Bit Integrations’ Action Hook trigger).
- Improvements:
- Entries Table: Added a linkable Entry ID column, an open-row highlight, inline status, star and label controls, repeater tables and full values on hover.
- Filters: Both entries pages share one panel with multi-select statuses and labels, Starred and a date range.
- Faster Entries: On a form with 200,000 entries, a page went from about 618ms to about 5ms.
- Clearer Failure Logs: Failed emails record the mail server’s reason, the recipient and the subject, and every integration logs its HTTP status and timing.
- Entry Notes (Pro): Each note shows its author or last editor.
- Form Abandonment Settings (Pro): Reorganised, with reminder and team-alert templates editable in place and a rich text editor for the privacy notice and resume email.
- Fewer Draft Saves (Pro): Leaving the page saves only changed answers and can wait for an email or phone number. Progress also saves 30 seconds after the visitor stops typing.
- Usage Reporting: Now part of Bit Form and off until an administrator opts in. If you opted in before, you are asked again.
Bit Form 3.4.0
- Release Date: 22 October, 2026
- Heads up:
- PHP 8.0 is now the minimum. Sites still on PHP 7.4 are not offered this update and stay on 3.3.3 until the server is upgraded. If the plugin is updated by hand on an older PHP, it now shows an admin notice saying so instead of failing silently.
- Bit Form Pro: Bit Form Pro 3.3.2 keeps working with this release. Bit Form Pro 3.4.0 needs Bit Form 3.4.0 — update Bit Form first; on an older Bit Form, Pro 3.4.0 shows an update notice and waits.
- For developers — admin AJAX replies changed shape. Custom code that calls Bit Form’s admin AJAX actions now receives { status, code, data } instead of { success, data }. Form submission, file upload and REST API replies are unchanged, and so are hook and filter names and arguments and the public he…
- For developers — old class names keep working. Classes moved to the BitApps\BitForm namespace still answer to their old BitCode\BitForm names, and Bit Form’s own callbacks stay registered under those names, so existing remove_action() calls such as remove_action('bitforms_exec_integrations', ['BitC…
- Improvements:
- Rebuilt Plugin Core: Bit Form’s server side now runs on the Bit Apps plugin framework. Existing forms, entries, integrations, workflows and settings carry over as they are — there is no database change.
- Stricter Request Handling: Every Bit Form AJAX action now answers only to its exact name, and admin actions that change data accept only POST requests. Firewall and rate-limit rules keyed on Bit Form’s action names now see every request.
- Security:
- SVG Uploads: Updated the bundled SVG sanitizer to close stored cross-site scripting and denial-of-service bypasses in uploaded SVG files.
- Entry Editing: Fixed a vulnerability where a logged-in user (Subscriber or above) who could edit one of their own entries could send a crafted entry ID and delete files outside the Bit Form upload folder. Entry and form IDs must now be plain numbers, and requests with anything else are rejected. Pl…
- Dropbox and OneDrive: “Delete from WordPress” now only uploads and deletes the files that belong to that entry, never files elsewhere on the server.
Bit Form V3.3.3
Bit Form V3.3.2
Bit Form 3.3.1
- Release Date: 16 September, 2026
- New:
- Conditional Blocks in Email and PDF Templates: Wrap part of a template in ${bf_if:field} … ${bf_endif} and it is sent only when that field has a value — so optional blocks, like a list of attendees, stop emailing empty rows. The editor’s new Conditional Block menu inserts a block for any field, or…
- Conditions Can Compare Values: A block can test the answer, not just whether there is one: ${bf_if:b1-3 contain @gmail.com}, ${bf_if:b1-9 equal Poland}, ${bf_if:b1-4 greater 100}. Operators match conditional logic — equal, not_equal, null, not_null, contain, not_contain, start_with, end_with, great…
- Discard Values of Hidden Fields: A new form setting drops the value of a field hidden by conditional logic, so it never reaches the entry, emails, PDFs or integrations. Calculated and tracked values are unaffected, and “Keep value when hidden” in a field’s own settings overrides the form setting.
- Filter Imported Posts by Taxonomy and Term: A field filled from your posts can now be narrowed to one taxonomy and term, so a post type with several categories no longer pulls in every post. A “Remove Data Source” button detaches the live sync while keeping the synced options. Live sync needs Bit F…
- Improvements:
- Webhooks Say Why a URL Was Rejected: A URL WordPress refuses — an internal host, a host that does not resolve, a port other than 80, 443 or 8080 — now reports the real reason and the filter that allows it, instead of “webhook url is empty” on a URL that was filled in correctly.
- Documentation Links: Every “Learn more” link returned a 404. They now open the current Bit Form documentation, and Pro installs get the Pro changelog instead of the Free one.
- Fixes:
- Hiding a field no longer skips validation for another field whose key starts the same, so a form with both b1-17 and b1-175 keeps validating and saving both.
- A “Set value” rule no longer writes into a different field whose name attribute merely starts the same.
- Two fields sharing one name attribute are now reported when you save the form, instead of one of them silently saving nothing.
- ${bf_all_data.onlyValues} now also skips a field left as an empty list, such as a checkbox group with nothing ticked, and two all-data tags in one template no longer interfere.
- Forms no longer break with a fatal “Call to undefined function ignore_user_abort” on hardened hosts such as RunCloud, where that PHP function is disabled. Every Bit Form admin and submission request is affected on PHP 8.
- A reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha or Turnstile widget is now reset after a failed submission, so retrying after a validation error no longer returns “timeout-or-duplicate” instead of the real error. On a page with more than one form, only that form’s widget is reset.
- Forms now survive page-speed optimizers that move or re-run scripts, such as Cloudflare Rocket Loader. The form’s configuration was wiped on the second run, which left phone number and other custom fields unvalidated.
- WPML no longer re-registers a form’s strings on every page load; they are registered once and again only when the form actually changes.
Bit Form V-3.3.0
Bit Form 3.2.2
- Release Date: 3rd August, 2026
- Improvements:
- Bit Form Pro Updates: Improved the “Update Now” flow for updating Bit Form Pro from the plugins screen.
- Fixes:
- Multi-Step Forms: Fixed the form freezing when “Next” was clicked after a successful submission — validation repeated until it failed, so a second entry could not be started without reloading the page.
- File Uploads to Integrations: Fixed uploaded files not reaching OneDrive and Dropbox (“Can’t open or read file!”) and being silently skipped by WooCommerce and the Zoho integrations (CRM, Bigin, Creator, Desk, Mail, Projects, Recruit, and WorkDrive).
- OneDrive: Fixed the same file being uploaded more than once when a form mapped several file fields to the integration.
- Bit CRM Integration: Fixed missing tag titles when a form was created from Bit CRM.
Bit Form 3.2.1
- Release Date: 28 July, 2026
- New:
- Bit CRM Integration: Added Bit CRM as a form integration, so submissions can create and tag leads in Bit CRM automatically.
- Improvements:
- Cache Plugin Compatibility: The post-load security token is now generated by default on sites that have never changed the setting, so forms keep working behind full-page caching.
- Entry Editing: Improved the entry edit screen and its save/update flow in the admin.
- Fixes:
- Email From Name: Fixed the “From Name” configured on an email notification being ignored — notifications fell back to the sender address instead. Emails will now show the name you configured.
- Entry Editing: Fixed the error message not being shown when an admin entry update failed.
- File Uploads: Fixed a fatal error when a File Upload field inside a Repeater submitted more than one file.
- Error Log: Stopped writing unnecessary entries to the WordPress debug log on every form submission.
- Data Accuracy: Fixed a failed database query returning the previous query’s rows instead of reporting the error, which could show the wrong records on a page.
- Security:
- Hardened the database query layer so a query condition can never contribute an unrecognised column name or comparison operator to a statement.
- Sanitized form submissions made through internal field keys, closing a stored cross-site-scripting and PDF request-forgery path.
- Our thanks to security researchers Artus KG, JING QIAN and Farid Narimanov for responsibly disclosing the issues addressed in this release.
Bit Form 3.2.0
- Release Date: 20 July, 2026
- New:
- After Submit Behavior: Added a new setting to control the form behavior after submission (Hide Form, Reset Form, or Keep Form Values).
- Active Status Toggle: Added an enable/disable toggle for Success Message, Redirect URL, Email Notification, PDF Template, and Integration settings.
- WordPress Media Library Attachments: Added an option to select files from the WordPress Media Library as email attachments in the Email Notification settings.

- Conditional Email Routing (Pro): Added support for conditional routing in the “Send To Email” setting of Email Notifications.
- PDF Header & Footer (Pro): Added editors for configuring PDF headers and footers in the PDF Template settings.
- Improvements:
- Execution Process: Decoupled the execution of Success Messages, Redirect URLs, Email Notifications, and Integrations from the central conditional logic. Each feature can now execute independently and be controlled individually.
- Success Message: Redesigned the UI/UX and improved the execution workflow for a better user experience.
- Email Templates: Added Configuration Info and Status columns to the list table, redesigned the editor UI/UX for improved usability, and enhanced the email execution workflow.
- Email Configuration: Added configuration options for To, CC, BCC, From Name, From Email, Reply-To Email, and Attachments. Also added support for attaching multiple PDF(Pro) templates to email notifications.
- PDF Templates (Pro): Added PDF Name and Settings Info columns to the list table and redesigned the editor UI/UX for improved usability and management.
- Fixes:
- Field Cloning: Fixed a name property conflict when cloning composite fields with child fields.
- Submission Validation: Fixed an issue where validation errors were not displayed when a required field existed in the field list but was missing from the form layout.
- Conditional Record Edit Action: Fixed an issue where conditional logic configured for the “On Record Edit” action was not executed correctly during entry updates.
Bit Form 3.1.4
- Release Date: 13 July, 2026
- Improvements:

- Release Date: 12 July, 2026
- Improvements:
- Added a setting to show or hide the search input in Dropdown fields.
- Improved handling of previously uploaded files during entry updates.

- Restricted file deletion to files that remain inside the entry upload …
